TOWN OF HAMPTON, NEW YORK

test

The Town of Hampton is located in the northeast corner of Washington County, along the banks of the Poultney River. Hampton is an agricultural, rural community, with farms, small lakes, and ponds. With 950 residents, it's a wonderful environment for living in the country and raising your family or to retire to. With larger towns in both New York and Vermont within a short distance, we have the best of both worlds.  Hampton is a Right to Farm community.

There is no greater service a citizen can provide their country than to place their life on the line to preserve our freedoms.

To those of you who have served we thank you for your service.

Tomorrow, November 11th, is a day set aside to show our appreciation for those who served our country please take a little time tomorrow to remember those from Hampton - and those from across our great country - who served.  If you see one of our  Veterans please give them a simple gesture of thanks.   You may also want to share with younger generations the meaning and importance of this special day.

Veterans from all our wars though the Vietnam War are buried in Hampton's cemeteries.  Perhaps as you pass one of our cemeteries pause and remember in your own way those who gave their lives in service of our country.

We all should always be mindful of the sacrifice and service of veterans on behalf of all Americans.
